Godzilla Criterion Collection

Godzilla Criterion Collection

Just how much Godzilla does one man need? The question is moot!

Did I need it? Nope. But did I want it? Yep, so that was that. So now I find myself with multiples of various movies in various formats. Heck, my Blu-Rays of Godzilla vs Megalon, Destroy All Monsters, and the previous Criterion release of Godzilla ’54 are still sealed in plastic. Nevertheless, I just can’t see myself parting with them, because there’s never a thing as too much Godzilla!

“This tome featuring yours truly is too big to conveniently fit on the shelf… AND THAT’S THE WAY IT SHOULD BE!”

But my favorite set still remains the Godzilla Collection from 2007. The menus for each movie are simply phenomenal, and the silver casings are swank. If lovin’ you is wrong, then I don’t wanna be right!

The Godzilla Collection
“I feel so classy!”

If I do find the willpower to part with anything, it’ll be the Sony releases of Godzilla vs Gigan, Ebirah Horror of the Deep, and Godzilla vs Gigan. The covers, the title overlays… absolute crap! Just shameful.

“What the hell, Sony?! As if sullying my good name in ’89 wasn’t bad enough. Now you want to salt the earth!”
